Association for Craft Producers

Association for Craft Producers (ACP) is based in Nepal and provides a full cycle of services to assist low-income artisans - primarily women living on the outskirts of the Kathmandu Valley. These services include design, technical management, marketing and a range of training courses in business and social issues.

As well as training opportunities, artisans also receive regular and fair wages to supplement family incomes and improve their standard of living.

ACP has been helping to revive felting, a traditional craft in Nepal. Felting is a simple process of bonding wool fibres together using motion, heat and water. The organisation focuses on products that artisans can make in their own homes with little supervision after training is completed.
